How often do you watch the news?
We always feel the need to keep abreast with the latest happenings, or developments, or even gossip going around. And one of the few ways we can get credible information is by watching the news. Well it's commendable that you want to know what's going on, but have you ever stopped to consider your mood after listening to the news compared with how it was before turning the TV on? We all know at least 8 of 10 of the news airing on the TVs these days are sad and bad news, horrible things going on, things we have absolutely no control over no matter how hard we try. So how does that make you feel? Do you feel like you should continue consciously dampening your mood, keeping feeding yourself with how horrible people are, which in turn causes a wide range of ugly emotions. Or can you spend that time doing something creative? Taking a walk, reading a book, watching documentaries, engaging in recreational activities and a good many other activities can replace the time you use making yourself feel sad.
